Terra received her Bachelor Of Fine Arts in Photography from The California College Of The Arts in 2009.

During her education, she held internships in the art department at San Francisco Magazine, and at Blackwell Files casting agency. Since then, she has been working based out of Portland, Oregon.

“As a creative and imaginative thinker, art has always been a huge part of my life in many forms including music and painting. I decided to pursue photography after first trying to become a rock-star (no kidding) and realizing it wasn’t my life’s calling. I believe that photography is. I am fascinated by photography as a window into the past that allows something to keep on existing, even after it’s gone.

I strive to capture moments authentically, but cleverly, using light, color and composition to make things compelling and beautiful.

Photographing people is awesome, because they are always different and changing. I love that I get to meet so many new people and hear their stories, to hear what has brought them to the places in life where they are at. Other things that I love: road trips, camping, croquet, dancing, large bodies of water, lobsters, flannels, champagne, accordions, the color yellow, midnight drives, and adventures! Life is good.”
